Beaver Creek

We had the chance to go to Beaver Creek, CO last weekend for a short trip.  We were invited to go to the executive getaway with Student Venture (the high school ministry of Campus Crusade).  We have been involved with student venture for many years and were so blessed to go to this getaway with some of the staff and several other families that are involved.  My parents got to go as well, so that was extra fun.   There were sessions each morning until noon, so David went to the sessions and I stayed with the boys.  I did get to attend one session while my mom watched the boys.  There was an incredible speaker, Crawford Loritts who is from Atlanta's Fellowship Bible church.  David's favorite part was hearing from the students who are impacted by this ministry...students, who are not churched and have some tough lives.  David said that it was incredible to hear their stories and how the Lord has moved in their lives.  

After the sessions, we would head to the mountain to play putt-putt, do bungie jump trampolines and ride the chair lift to the top.  We had a great time just being outdoors where the humidity was low and the temperatures were perfect.  Seriously, the mountains are so pretty in the summer!  All of the colors were just so vibrant and wonderful!  We loved being there.  We also got to see a wedding while we were there...the bride rode the chair lift up in her dress to get some pictures on the mountain top!  I couldn't believe it!
