This is my boy. I am so very in love with everything about him! Yes, he is very strong-willed, two and a half, a handful bigger than I can handle, and everything precious in between. He loves to be outside in the sunshine! This holiday season is so much fun seeing everything through his little eyes. His whole face lights up when we see Christmas lights and walking into Lowe's is like going to a WinterWonderland for him. We have been walking around the neighborhood almost every night to see all of the Christmas decorations and he gets excited everytime! We are working real hard to make sure that he understands that Christmas is about our Lord's birthday...not just presents and all of that stuff. I think he gets it most of the time!
I look at this little boy and wonder when he turned into a little boy. It seems like just yesterday that he was a baby with chubby legs and cheeks and a pot belly to compete with Santa. Now, his legs look like little boy legs, there are no chubby cheeks and he is all ribs. He doesn't care so much about cuddling anymore, he wants to do everything himself, and if dad is around, he really only wants him. It just flies by. Sometimes the days are long, but the months fly by like seconds. I am trying to enjoy each and every second with him as an only child. I know that our addition is going to be wonderful, but sometimes I'm scared about how much it will change Sam's life. I am excited beyond words about another little boy in my life, but I'm scared beyond words as well! Anyway, enough of my issues! I love my boy so much and can't wait to see him as a big brother!

Sherry, this is such an endearing post to read. It really just makes me smile to think about your little family. It also gets me excited about the family that God is going to provide for me and Adam one day, too. Anyway, you are going to be a great "mom of two boys." Can't wait to hear the news of Jacob's arrival...
PS. You look like you are practicing with the camera. Is this true? Great pictures!
Sherry, he is so adorable. I love hearing your thoughts about motherhood. I can't believe Sam's little brother is almost here!
i love those pictures... he will be a great big brother.
Uh! He's so cute. Okay, sometime in the next million years we have got to have a play date....i don't even care if we live 4 hours apart! Our boys should be buds! You make my heart smile!!
