Out of the Mouths of Babes...

I always like to take a few minutes and write down some funny things that Sam says so that I don't forget. So, while this is really for me, I hope you enjoy it, too!

- I was trying to teach Sam his memory verse for the week which is Philippians 4:13..."I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." This is how the lesson went:

Mom: Sam, say "I can"
Sam: "not believe it!!!!"

I laughed so hard that we had to put the lesson off until the next day.

- I needed to clean up the kitchen, so here is our conversation:

Mom: Sam, why don't you come help Mama empty the dishwasher?
Sam: No, tank you, but it was nice to ask.

- I had a doctor's appointment, so Sam was going to hang out at Mimi's house while I went. This is what I hear in the car...

Sam to his "Sam bear": Sam bear, we go to Mimi's house. It's all toys there.

- A sweet moment:

Sam: Mama, you look sad. what's da madder?
then, he comes up to me and puts his arms around me... ( I didn't even have to say anything, he just knew)
Sam: I miss my dad, too. I wuv you.

- Another sweet moment:

After his nap, I went into his room, and I usually lay on the bed with him for a few minutes and we talk or wrestle or whatever. The other day, he just kept telling me that he "wuved" me over and over and then he said, "you wuv me, mama?" Of course!!!!

Oh, I know there are countless others, but I really can't think of them. This little boy has my heart and knows it! I love him so very much and am so thankful for him! He brings such joy to this little family that we are bursting. And, to think that we get to have another is almost unbearable! We are truly thankful!
