My Man

I usually don't write a lot about anything other than Sam, but I just have to tell you about my husband right now. Last week, he had to go out of town and the day before he left, he brought me two huge boquets of flowers home. He said that one was just because and the other was because it was the ten year anniversary of our first date. Seriously, I would not have expected him to remember that. But, he did and I was blessed. Then, today, I opened my front door and there was a big box of flowers on the door step with a note in it that would cause any girl to fall into pieces about how much he is ready to come home. I have three boquets of flowers in my house from my hubby. I am one blessed girl.

David is such a sweet man, even if he doesn't come across that way to everyone...which, in a way, I'm glad he saves just for his family. He has written me countless poems and cards, he often comes home with flowers, he is encouraging me constantly and he loves his little boy. Thankfully, David isn't the type to say something just to say it, so when he does encourage me, I know it's real. He is still out of town and I am about to go crazy without him here. He should be coming back in the next few days, so if you think about us, please pray for him! I have gotten such an appreciation for single moms this past week. I have felt so crazy at times without my hubs here that I don't know what to do! He helps me so much with Sam...even if it's just a 30 minute break and without him here, I don't get that. I have been extremely blessed with amazing family and friends to keep us busy this week; I have at least 6 houses that I am invited to dinner every night, but when it all comes down to it, I just want my man to be home. We usually meet David for lunch at least once a week and we miss that. Sam woke up yesterday morning asking his giraffe-who he sleeps with...which is actually a horse, but Sam thinks it's a giraffe-if he knew where his dad had gone. He said that he missed his daddy. That just about broke my heart!

Well, thanks for letting me be a little sappy over my man. I am so blessed by him. He is truly my best friend and I can't wait to see him very soon!
