At Bible study this week, we learned about Wisdom for Moms from the book of Proverbs. Oh, so good. I was so encouraged and convicted at the same time. One of the times that I was encouraged was when Beth talked about surrounding yourself with other mommies. The Lord did this for me...seriously, He did. I am so blessed to have Kim. She and I were due four days apart from each other (even though the kids are 20 days apart). We walked just about everyday together while we were pregnant. We went to prenatal aerobics together. She watched me fumble around in the aerobics class and float away when we were supposed to be doing water aerobics. If you know Kim, you know that she did it all perfectly and somehow never let me see her laughing at me. We went through pregnancy stuff together and complained to one another in order to spare our sweet husbands from the complaining. Our walks got longer and longer as our tummies got bigger and bigger. I didn't mind; it just meant more time with her. Then, our precious little babies came...first Addison and then Sam. I held Addison every one of those 20 days that she and Sam are apart. She was at the hospital as soon as she could get there when Sam was born and we have been through it. We've nursed our kids in each others living rooms, shared all kinds of heartaches over eating, diapers, tantrums, etc. We love each other's kids like they are our own. She is the first person I call when Sam does something cute or new and I always am so full of joy to hear about Addison's newest thing. We've spent hours at chick-fil-a trying to finish a conversation and I'm sure there are many more to come. I honestly don't know the last time that we actually finished a converstaion when the kids were there. We usually end up calling each other during naptime to finish. Kim just had a new baby last week, Reagan Ainslee. She is precious and Addison is precious helping Kim take care of her. I couldn't be happier for my friend. I am so glad that I get to walk this motherhood journey with such an incredible person! I am truly, truly blessed!!

God is so kind to give us these friendships. Thanks for being just an email away this last year. Even though we have hardly spent any time together you have been such a support to me. So when is Baby Girl McClure coming to visit us?

How fortunate you are! I pray and hope that I have the same type of "pregnancy-friend" as you! Although it makes me a little sad that you've moved past all your ole college buddies and onto "adult friendships..." ha! Kim will never have Toomer to talk about!

Ash~I'll never move past you! You are a lifelong friend, and even though you do not yet have a baby, you've had to listen to me lots and lots... I love you!!
