A Wonderful Sunday

What a wonderful day we've had! David returned home this morning at 5:00 from being gone in Brazil for a week. We were so happy to see him and got right to "normal" as fast as we could. We went to church, lunch with family and then came home to play outside. Sam has been talking all week about trying to ride his bike on two wheels, so I told him that as soon as Daddy got home, we'd try. We got home from lunch and he was ready! I honestly didn't think that he would do it, but after a couple of times, he just started riding. There is something so very special about seeing your child do something for the first time, especially when they are proud of themselves about it. We rode around our street for a couple of hours (yes, hours), and Jacob followed as best as he could on his little bike. After a little rest, we put the kids in our bike trailer and rode bikes to meet friends for dinner. Now the kids are tucked in their beds and David is so tired from a long trip and a long day! We are thankful for special days like today!

WOW!! That is awesome Sam! We just got the point where both kids are riding bikes (both with trailing wheels still :) and we are running next to them. We still do the bike trailer too, but they are running out of room quick.
Glad your husband made it home.
love you!
