This Boy...

....is so precious to me.  I mean, of course he is because he's my kid, but I really think that I'd love him even if he weren't.  He is growing up so much that it hurts sometimes, but I wouldn't want him to stay the same!  He is so fun.  He loves life and to learn about life.  He loves knowing other people and wants everyone to be his friend.  Right now, he wants to know how old everyone is.  This is great when we are in the Chick-fil-a playground with other kids, but not so great when we are at the grocery store and the 198 year old woman walks by and Sam asks her in a very loud voice how old she is.

He really isn't too much into his toys these days...he'd rather play golf, t-ball, soccer, football, or ride his bike than sit in his playroom and play.   He does still love to do crafts with me and will play with trucks occasionally.  He is so into his daddy that it looks like there is a "mini me" of David walking around at all times...he tries to act just like him!

Sam is a child that keeps me on my toes and even more often on my knees, but I cherish everything about this little boy.  Right now, he is into sounding out every word.  We sit at the dinner table at night and sound out words over and over.  I think he'll probably be reading before I blink!  I love that he always wants to be right and tries to make himself right even when he is wrong.  I am finally seeing some fruit from all of the discipline labor.  I didn't even have to spank him or send him to the dining room today (it's only naptime, but that is a victory).  He is a joy and I am so thankful to be his mom.  I feel like I have been entrusted with much having these two boys!
