Sam has made a new best friend...his shadow. He calls it "shashow" and it is precious! He gets so excited when he sees it and very sad when it disappears. I guess he is happy to finally have someone who does whatever he says and follows him wherever he goes. He looks at my shadow and says "big" ( I won't take offense) and then looks at his and says "meese." Meese is what he calls himself. We're not sure where this came from, but it is either "Me Sam" or "my Sam," which I call him often. I tried to get pictures of him and his shadow, but it didn't work out too well, so you'll just have to imagine it!

Sam is also starting to recognize everywhere that we frequent, like chik-fil-a and HEB. He says "Fee-fee" for chik-fil-a (maybe french fry, but who knows) and says H-E-B for the store. When we are done at the store, he says "home tex" which I guess comes from me saying "let's go home and see tex." He has also figured out that the "ride-on" toys at grocery stores actually move and this requires me to put money in. When it is not moving, he looks at me and says "money...in der" pointing at my wallet. It makes me laugh each time! We are gearing up for Christmas now and are looking forward to a very peaceful time! David has already started putting things together so that we can put them out Christmas Eve night. I can't wait!
